曹然,男,湖南大学副教授,研究生导师,“岳麓学者”。桥梁工程领域国际权威期刊ASCEJournal of Bridge Engineering》副主编。提出了基于性能的桥墩抗重车撞击设计方法。曾获美国土木工程师协会颁发的 "亚瑟M. 惠灵顿奖" (2020),安曼O.H结构工程科研奖 (2019)。相关研究成果被美国公路桥梁设计规范(AASHTO-LRFD)采用。
